Published figures, shown as released. Not for trading use. Data published by CoinGecko, Bank of Canada and FRED.
A board for the numbers that set the price of money in Canada, alongside the two global figures that push them around. Each card shows the latest published value, the change from the previous reading, and that change as a percentage.
A value on its own tells you less than you would think. What matters is the direction and the size of the move, which is why the change is given as much room as the number it belongs to, and why each card carries its own recent history beside it.
Priced in US dollars against a volume-weighted average across major exchanges. Unlike everything else on this board, it never closes and it has no official publisher.
The second largest cryptocurrency by market value, priced in US dollars. Like Bitcoin it trades continuously with no official publisher, but it is built as a programmable platform rather than purely a store of value.
How many Canadian dollars one US dollar buys. The Bank of Canada sets this once each business day by 16:30 Eastern. It is an indicative rate, not a dealing rate.
The target for the overnight rate, the interest rate the Bank of Canada actually sets. Prime rates, variable mortgages and lines of credit all move with it.
The yield on the Government of Canada ten-year benchmark bond. Fixed mortgage rates are priced off the shorter end of this curve, so it is worth watching if you have a renewal coming.
The two-year Treasury moves on what markets expect the Federal Reserve to do next, so it reacts faster than the ten-year. When it sits above the ten-year the yield curve is inverted, a pattern that has often preceded US recessions.
The benchmark US government borrowing rate, and the number most other interest rates in the world are ultimately priced against.
West Texas Intermediate, the US benchmark crude grade, quoted per barrel. It feeds through to the pump within a few weeks.
The North Sea benchmark, and the grade most of the world outside North America prices against. The gap between Brent and WTI reflects what it costs to move North American crude to buyers overseas.
Everything here is published by the institution that produces it. The exchange rate, the policy rate and the Canadian bond yield are Bank of Canada series, released once each business day by 16:30 Eastern. The US Treasury yields and the two crude oil benchmarks come through FRED from the Federal Reserve Board and the Energy Information Administration. Bitcoin and Ethereum are traded continuously and have no official publisher, so they come from CoinGecko.
That matters more than it sounds. A great deal of market data is licensed property that cannot legally be republished on a free page, which is why so many sites either pay for it or quietly take it anyway. Every figure on this board is either public information or carries written permission, and it is shown exactly as the publisher released it.
What this board adds is the arithmetic. The change, the percentage change and the range on each chart are calculated here from the published values; the values themselves are not adjusted, rounded away or recalculated. Because these series are published once a business day rather than continuously, the figure you see is the most recent release, not a live quote, and nothing here should be used for trading.

Live Market Indexes is a market data reference site. We publish rates, yields and prices produced by others, and we do not operate accounts, portfolios, or any service that requires you to identify yourself. That shapes everything below: the amount of personal information we hold is deliberately small, because the site does not need it in order to work.
You can read every figure on this site without giving us anything at all. There is no registration, no login, no newsletter gate, and no paywall. If you never use the contact form, we will never hold your name or your email address.
Like effectively every website, our web server writes an access log. Each entry records the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the page or file requested, the response code, the number of bytes sent, the referring page if your browser supplied one, and the browser user agent string. These logs exist for security and for diagnosing faults, such as identifying a scanner hammering the site or working out why a page returned an error.
Access logs are rotated on a regular schedule and are not used to build profiles of individual visitors. We do not attempt to link log entries to a named person, and we do not sell, rent, or share raw log data with third parties except where we are legally compelled to produce it.
The contact form asks for a name, an email address, and a message. We use those three things for exactly one purpose, which is replying to you. The submission also records the sending IP address and a timestamp, which helps us deal with automated abuse of the form. We keep contact correspondence for as long as the thread is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you write back about the same matter.
We do not add contact form senders to a mailing list. We do not have a mailing list. If we ever start one, joining it will be a separate and explicit choice on your part.
This site carries advertising served through Google Ad Manager. Google and its advertising partners may set and read cookies or similar identifiers in your browser in order to select and measure the ads you see. That processing is carried out by Google under its own privacy policy, not under ours, and we do not receive the individual level data behind it. Our cookie policy explains how to limit this, and Google publishes its own advertising controls at its Ads Settings page.
We call our data providers from our own server, not from your browser: the Bank of Canada, FRED, and CoinGecko. Because those calls originate on our server on a fixed schedule, your browser never contacts any of them, and none of them receives your IP address or any information about you.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which does mean your browser connects to a Google server to retrieve them. Google states that it logs the request for operational purposes. If that connection concerns you, most browsers and content blockers can prevent it, and the site remains fully readable in a system font.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, or to object to how we use it. Residents of British Columbia and elsewhere in Canada have these rights under the Personal Information Protection Act and PIPEDA. Residents of the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom have them under the General Data Protection Regulation. Residents of California have comparable rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
To exercise any of them, write to us using the contact form or the address in our legal notice. Because we hold so little, a deletion request is usually satisfied by removing an email thread. We will respond within thirty days. We will never charge you for making a request, and we will never treat you differently for having made one.
The site is served over HTTPS and runs on a dedicated server we administer directly. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, but we take reasonable technical measures appropriate to the very limited data we hold.
This site is not directed at children under thirteen and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information through the contact form, tell us and we will delete it.
We may revise this policy as the site changes. The review date at the top of this notice tells you when it was last looked at. Continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the current version.

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store and hand back on later visits. Related technologies, including local storage, pixels, and device identifiers, do much the same job by different means. This policy covers all of them, and uses the word cookie loosely to mean any of them.
Live Market Indexes itself sets almost nothing. The board reads from a file on our own server and does not need to remember anything about you between visits. Where cookies do appear in your browser on this site, they overwhelmingly come from the advertising layer rather than from us.
If you submit the contact form, a short lived session cookie may be set so the page can show you a confirmation message after the form posts. It expires when you close the browser and carries no information about you beyond that single interaction. Nothing on the site depends on this cookie if you never touch the form.
Beyond that one form cookie, we set nothing ourselves. There is no preference cookie, no consent cookie, no session identifier that persists between visits, and no fingerprint of our own.
The contact form is protected by reCAPTCHA, a service operated by Google that tells automated submissions apart from real ones. Loading it places a Google cookie in your browser and sends Google information about your browser and how you interact with the page, which is how it reaches its verdict. That happens on the contact section, and it is Google's processing rather than ours: we receive only a pass or fail, never the signals behind it. Google's privacy policy and terms govern it. If you would rather not load it, email us directly instead; the address is published on this site and reaches the same person.
Advertising on this site is served through Google Ad Manager. Google and the advertising partners bidding through it may set cookies to limit how often you see the same advertisement, to measure whether an advertisement was actually viewable, to detect click fraud, and in some configurations to select advertisements based on inferred interests.
We do not control which advertising cookies are set, we do not read them, and we do not receive the individual profiles built from them. Our relationship is with Google, and Google's relationship is with the advertisers. If you want to understand or restrict that layer, Google's Ads Settings page and its advertising privacy notice are the right places to go.
We rely on server side access logs rather than a browser based analytics package, so there is no analytics cookie of ours in your browser. Server logs tell us how many requests a page received without needing to place anything on your device. If we ever add a client side analytics tool, this policy will be updated before it goes live.
Every mainstream browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them individually or in bulk, block third party cookies entirely, and refuse new cookies from specific sites. The controls sit under privacy or security settings in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. Mobile browsers offer the same options in a different arrangement.
Blocking third party cookies on this site will not stop you reading anything. The board, the explanatory sections, the contact form, and the legal notices all work normally. The practical effect is that advertisements become less targeted and frequency capping stops working, so you may see the same advertisement more often.
Browsers also offer a Do Not Track signal and, more recently, Global Privacy Control. There is still no industry wide agreement on how a site must respond to Do Not Track, so we make no promise about it. Where Global Privacy Control is legally binding on our advertising partners, they are obliged to honour it under their own policies.
Deleting cookies periodically is a reasonable habit and costs you nothing on this site. Because we store no preferences, there is nothing for you to lose by clearing everything.
If a cookie appears on this domain that you cannot account for and that this policy does not describe, please tell us through the contact form. We would genuinely like to know, since it would most likely mean something has changed in the advertising stack without our noticing.

Live Market Indexes is published by West Coast Media Solutions Inc., a company incorporated federally in Canada under the Canada Business Corporations Act, corporation number 641461-3, and registered extraprovincially in British Columbia under registration number A0143178.
Correspondence should be sent through the contact form on this site, which reaches us directly. We answer email from real people; we do not answer automated outreach.
Nothing on this site is investment advice, financial advice, tax advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, index product, fund, or digital asset. We are a publisher of market data, not a registered dealer, adviser, or investment fund manager in any jurisdiction, and we are not registered with any securities commission.
The figures published here are provided for general information. They are delayed, they may contain errors passed through from our data suppliers, and they may be stale if a supplier has an outage. Anyone making a financial decision should work from a licensed real time source and, where appropriate, from professional advice suited to their own circumstances.
We take reasonable care to publish figures faithfully, but we do not originate them. The figures are published by the Bank of Canada, by the United States agencies whose series reach us through FRED, and by CoinGecko. Where a supplier is wrong, delayed, or unavailable, this site will be wrong, delayed, or showing a stale value alongside it. We give no warranty, express or implied, as to accuracy, completeness, timeliness, or fitness for any purpose.
We do not guarantee that the site will be available without interruption. Maintenance, supplier outages, network faults, and attacks can all take it offline without notice.
The exchange rate, the target for the overnight rate, and the Government of Canada benchmark bond yield shown on this site are published by the Bank of Canada and are retrieved through its Valet API. They are reproduced under the Bank's Terms of Use, which permit reproduction subject to attribution and accuracy. The Bank of Canada confirmed in writing on 24 September 2026 that its exchange rate data is not third-party content and may be republished on those terms. This site is not affiliated with the Bank of Canada, and the Bank does not endorse this site or its use of the content. The Bank's logo and wordmark are not reproduced anywhere on this site.
The United States Treasury yields and the West Texas Intermediate and Brent crude oil prices are retrieved from FRED, maintained by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, and originate with the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and the United States Energy Information Administration respectively. Both series are in the public domain with citation requested. Bitcoin and Ethereum pricing is supplied by CoinGecko and is displayed with attribution as their terms require.
Figures are reproduced as published. The daily change, the percentage change, and the high and low shown on each chart are calculated by this site from those published values, and are not themselves published by any of the institutions named above. Where a figure appears to be wrong, the publisher's own page is the authority and we would be grateful to be told.
This site displays no equity index values. The Dow Jones Industrial Average, the S&P 500, the S&P/TSX Composite and the Nasdaq Composite are the licensed property of their respective owners and are not reproduced here.
The design, layout, explanatory text, and code of this site are the copyright of West Coast Media Solutions Inc. Individual numerical facts, such as a closing level, are not protected by copyright, and we make no claim over them. You are welcome to cite a figure you read here. You may not copy the site's text or design wholesale.
Where we link to an external site, we do so because it seemed useful at the time. We do not control those sites, we do not vet them continuously, and a link is not an endorsement of their content, their accuracy, or their own privacy practices. Follow external links at your own discretion.
This notice and any dispute arising from use of this site are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection right you hold in your own country of residence.
If any part of this notice is found unenforceable, the rest of it continues to apply. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

We want this site to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard only navigation, screen magnification, or browsers configured for high contrast and large text. A page whose entire purpose is to communicate six numbers should be one of the easier things on the web to make accessible, and we have tried to treat it that way.
Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at Level AA. We test against that standard rather than treating it as an aspiration, though we do not claim perfect conformance and we would rather hear about a failure than have it go unreported.
The page is built from semantic HTML. Headings run in a logical order, the board is marked as a labelled region, the contact form has a real label attached to every field, and the legal notices open from actual buttons rather than from links that go nowhere.
Everything on the page can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone. Focus is visible at all times, using a clear outline rather than a subtle colour shift. Legal modals can be closed with the Escape key as well as with the close button, and focus returns to where you left it.
Colour is never the only way information is conveyed. A rising market is green, but it also carries an upward triangle and a plus sign; a falling market is red, and also carries a downward triangle and a minus sign. Anyone who cannot distinguish the two colours still gets the direction from the shape and the sign.
Text sits on background colours chosen to meet or exceed the contrast ratios the guidelines require. The page reflows to a single column on narrow screens and can be zoomed to two hundred percent without content being cut off or requiring horizontal scrolling.
The one piece of motion on the page, a slow pulse on the live indicator, is disabled automatically for anyone whose system is set to reduce motion. Nothing on the site flashes, auto-plays, or moves without your having asked for it.
Advertising is served by a third party and we do not control the markup inside an advertisement. Some creatives are less accessible than we would like, and we have no ability to fix them. If a particular advertisement causes a serious problem, tell us what it was and we will raise it with the ad network.
Numerical figures are set in a monospaced typeface so the columns align. If that face renders poorly with your particular assistive setup, we would like to hear about it, as the alignment is a convenience rather than a requirement.
If any part of this site is difficult or impossible for you to use, please write to us through the contact form and describe what happened, what you were using, and what you expected instead. We treat accessibility reports as bugs, not as suggestions, and we aim to acknowledge them within five business days.
If the contact form itself is the barrier, that is useful to know and worth reporting by whatever means you can reach us. We would rather receive an incomplete report through an awkward channel than never hear about the problem at all.

These terms govern your use of Live Market Indexes. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site; there is nothing further you need to do.
We may revise these terms as the site develops. The review date above tells you when they were last looked at, and continuing to use the site after a revision means you accept the current version.
You may read the site, cite a figure from it, link to it, and share a link to it. None of that requires our permission. Journalists, students, and anyone writing about markets are welcome to reference what they read here, though we would suggest confirming an important figure against a primary source before publishing it.
You may not scrape the site systematically, whether by script, headless browser, or any other automated means. We publish these figures for people to read on this page, not as a feed for other software, and heavy automated traffic costs us money in bandwidth. If you want programmatic market data, go to a market data provider directly. Several of them, CoinGecko among them, offer free tiers.
You may not attempt to interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, overload it, circumvent any access control, or use it to distribute malicious code. You may not use the contact form to send bulk unsolicited messages, and you may not misrepresent who you are when writing to us.
You may not copy the site's design, layout, explanatory writing, or code for use elsewhere. You may not present the site or its data as your own, and you may not frame or embed it in a way that implies an association we have not agreed to.
Every figure on this site is delayed and is published for general information only. Nothing here is investment advice or a recommendation, and we are not registered with any securities regulator. Our legal notice sets this out in full and forms part of these terms.
You are solely responsible for any decision you take. If you act on a number you read here and it turns out to have been stale, wrong, or misread, that outcome is yours. This is not us being unhelpful; it is the honest position of any free, delayed, advertising supported data page, and any site telling you otherwise is worth treating with suspicion.
The site is provided as is and as available. We give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or continuously accurate, and we may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it at any time without notice.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from your use of this site, including trading losses and lost profits. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applying there, and the courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction. If a provision is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in force. Our failure to enforce a term on one occasion is not a waiver of it.
